There are drifts of snow everywhere. I have never experienced weather like this. Quite strange... I am staying inside, and trying to stay cozy. CBS Sunday Morning is on. Such a lovely show. I wish for Charles Osgood -the host- to be my awesome great uncle. They are talking to Dustin Hoffman. Such a cool dude.
Hrm... time for more tea.

The holidays and such...
It is Christmas time, and nearly my birthday. I don't feel that great. It may be due to the fact that both my older brother and sister will be out of town. The boy because he has to work. How tragic is that? Working in a bar on Christmas eve. It makes me think of The Apartment.
My sister on the other hand is abroad in England. Her husband's family lives there, and it is their turn to have them over for Christmas. Which is fair enough. I just miss them terribly. Especially my nephew. I love that kid to pieces.
I am also a bit depressed about my birthday. My mother has to work. Which she is terribly sorry for. I don't hate her for that at all. She promised me dinner. Which will be nice. I guess it's just that it will be a fairly lonely birthday. I may go see a movie on my own that day. I think Milk is playing. Sometimes that is what a person needs. A seven dollar movie in the dark with other strangers. It always makes me feel a bit better. I've never met anyone at the movies. But also, most people don't go to the movies on their own. What a strange person I have become.

thoughts in no particular order...
I went to see my mother's cousins today. They were a ton of fun. We ate lots of food and there was general merriment. Then the power went out. Everyone got distracted, and my family decided it was time to go. We also had a small child with us. He was an absolute sweetheart.
We pushed a car out of some snow this evening. Did I mention that it snowed? Yeah. Fairly hilarious. We got to drive in it. My sister had a hilarious time with that. At one point a bunch of dirt and sand got on the windshield and my sister starts screaming about not being able to see. We make her pull over. She splashes some water on the windshield and gets back in and begins driving. Once again she starts screaming, "I can't see!" My mother calmly tells her to turn on her wipers. "Oh." We all laughed for a good while. My sister is silly like that. I love her to pieces though.
I love being home and in my nice warm house. It's absolutely perfect. I need to go to bed though. I have work in the morning...
